The second half of our trip took us three hours west to the beach. We drove through pouring rain, passed monkey crossing signs, and made our way to El Mangroove.

Playa Hermosa felt completely different from La Fortuna. It was beach days and pool time, catching mahi mahi out on the water, side-by-side rides through mud, and dinner on the sand while the rain poured down around us.

It was wild, a little messy, and absolutely unforgettable.
