Why we chose it

While exploring Bar Harbor and spending our days in Acadia National Park, Side Street Cafe came highly recommended. After reviewing the menu ahead of time and feeling comfortable with the options available, we decided to add it to our list.

Our experience

Side Street Cafe quickly became our go-to in Bar Harbor — we went twice during our stay. After long days exploring Acadia, it was exactly the kind of place that felt easy and welcoming.

The kids loved the wings, and the menu had enough variety that everyone found something they were excited about. It was lively without feeling overwhelming, and by our second visit, it already felt familiar.

Some places just make traveling feel simpler — this was one of them.
